Our Mission

The fundamental purpose of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is achievement in every field of human endeavor. To that end, the Eta Sigma Chapter seeks to assist in advancing the higher education of two high-achieving, minority men at the University of Virginia.

Award Details

The Eta Sigma Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. will award two, one-time scholarships in the amount of $250 to two outstanding applicants. The scholarship will be given as a check made out directly to the awardee.

Eligibility Requirements

One of the goals of the Achievement Scholarship is to identify young men that have and will make significant contributions to the University community. Applicants must demonstrate high academic achievement, an interest in public service, and a passion for improving the experience of minority students at the University of Virginia through social action.

Applicants must be racial minorities and be in their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year at the University of Virginia when the application is submitted. Current 4th years are not eligible to apply. Applicants must also have a demonstrated financial need.
